I’ve long been a sucker for the gorgeous, piano-driven compositions of Keith Keniff’s Helios project. His latest effort Yume (Japanese for dream) doesn’t stray too far from a formula that he’s developed to near perfection over several years while incorporating slightly more live instrumentation and found sounds. If you’re a fan of Tycho, Bibio or Rounds-era Four Tet this is certainly worth your attention as Yume proves to be a rewarding listen whether in headphones looking out an airplane window or as background music as you work quietly at your desk.
