I got my first chance to see the Nets play in their new Brooklyn home last night. I went with my brother Scotty for his birthday with tickets provided by our youngest brother Jeff (aka Insta Magic) and we had a blast. The stadium is easy to get to, looks great and has plenty of good food from real Brooklyn vendors (we ate at Fatty Cue). The feeling in the building was engaged and positive, and there were plenty of Jay-Z drops and “Brook-lyn” chants keeping the diverse crowd busy all night. I’m a loyal Knicks fan but having an NBA team in Brooklyn is undeniably cool and I certainly won’t be rooting against them. Well, except Kris Humphries. That guy is a clown and judging from the vocal crowd last night I’m not the only one who feels that way.
