Our very first night in town we were lucky enough to get a seat in the brasserie at The Conservatorium in Amsterdam. I could have eaten Burger King inside the lush interior of this gorgeous design hotel and been perfectly happy but instead was treated to an excellent meal that included a delicious salmon tartare with a quail egg on top and some near perfect handmade raviolis. Architect Piero Lissoni’s decision to match the original facade with a sleek, modern interior is a stroke of genius. Even the bathrooms in this place were super cool. Great way to start off our trip.
