Special congrats to Team USA for once again bringing the gold medal back where it belongs. Yesterday’s game was a little too close for comfort but when it came down to it the team handled business to secure the win. Kevin Durant’s record breaking PPG left no doubt that he’s the best scorer in the world and owner of the silkiest jump shot I’ve ever seen. Lebron capped an incredible redemption year by adding a gold medal to his NBA MVP, Finals MVP and Championship ring. He was clearly the team’s floor leader and without question the best player in the world. I was also happy to see two New York Knicks, Tyson Chandler and Carmelo Anthony, on the podium. Melo showed that he’s still one of the most dangerous scorers in the world and I’m hoping that confidence carries over into the regular season. It was great to see a team of superstars come together as a unit for a common goal and become friends in the process. I even enjoyed seeing the ultra-reserved Coach K literally jump for joy. With the rise of international players it was nice to see this group prove that we’re still the best in the world.
