Spike Jonze’s boundless imagination is on full display in his new short film I’m Here now screening at limited times throughout the day. Much like his We Were Once A Fairytale piece created with Kanye West late last year, it is everything I love about Spike’s work – strange, beautiful, specific, original and heartfelt. He continues to find ways to humanize his work with new technology and brings a “how’d he do that” element to each new project that keeps things very fresh. I’m Here features well-placed music from Sleigh Bells, Gui Boratto, Girls and Animal Collective as well as original songs from LA based singer Aska Matsumiya. You can find a Q&A along with another video/short film Spike shot for her last year at the film’s blog.
